Ace of Spades tattoo designs and the philosophy of the card.Even though Ace of Spades is mostly known as just one playing card, there are some terrible stories behind this card. Ace of spades has a distinctive design different from other cards, ornate design is far more magnificent than other cards.
Behind it all, the Ace of Spades is often associated with death and is even referred to as a “death card,” which is used by American troops as a psychological weapon and propaganda in several conflict countries. If you are wondering how a simple card can get so much fame, you can find the answer here.
In the 16th century, Europeans imposed taxes on certain businesses, including playing card manufacturers. In England starting in 1588, taxes on playing cards were increased several times. Initially, every pack of rummy was stamped by the government, which proved that the item was new and the government had received its rights. But in 1684, the London Court banned importing foreign production cards, and during the reign of Queen Anne, there was a special “stamp” placed on one card on each playing deck, the ace of spades, to prove that all taxes had been paid.
At that time, Ace of Spades was first printed without a stamp, then the government added a stamp before the deck was allowed to circulate on the market.
This ended in 1765, when the Tax Office began printing its own Ace of Spades cards of its own design and prohibited manufacturers from selling their designs. At that time, a law was issued banning the printing of As Shovels by non-governmental entities. The Printing of Spades is a serious offense and many people were hanged for this “crime” in the 18th and early 19th century in England. This is the beginning of the term Ace of Spades as a death card. At the end of the 19th century the law was abolished and card manufacturers were permitted to return to printing their own spades. But since then the manufacturer has printed a Ace of Spades card with a simpler design to eliminate the bleak history behind the card.
