Truffula TreeTattoo Designs. The Truffula Tree in the film The Lorax by Dr. Seuss is inspired by the Monterey Cypress tree. However, in the middle of 2019, this tree was reported to have fallen. According to Tim Graham, a spokeswoman for the San Diego Recreational Park Department, the Monterey cypress tree lives in Ellen Browning Scripps Park, San Diego. Different from those in the film, this tree does not have a variety of colors.
This tree has been in the area for a long time, even when Theodor Seuss Geisel or Dr. Seuss is still alive. Dr. Seuss also often watched the single evergreen tree from his residence on the top of La Jolla Mountain. Here, Dr. Seuss spent time producing many books, including The Lorax, published in 1971.
