The Simpsons was made by Matt Groening in 1987. Today, the series is the longest running animation in the world, and the oldest sitcom in the United States with 670 episodes.
The Simpsons have been very popular, and have never really lost popularity since. The series tells the story of the Simpsons family consisting of a father named Homer, a mother named Marge and three children, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie who live in the fictional city of Springfield.
In its journey, The Simpsons often made the US cultural and social issue a joke theme. This animation is not intended for children, with many dialogues containing dark, sarcastic humor.
The series also often presents famous cameos which are made in the form of animated The Simpsons style, ranging from Stephen Hawking to Paul McCartney. In 2007, families with bright yellow skin characteristics went up to the big screen through ‘The Simpsons Movie’.
