In addition to providing kitten coloring pages, we will also explain why humans are so annoyed when they see a kitten. Nothing can hold the cute face of a kitten. Instantly, the cute face of this kitten will warm the soul and make a smile burst. This is a natural reaction when seeing animals that are warm and furry. But why does this happen? Quoting from Nine, there are scientific reasons why the human brain cannot resist the cuteness of furry animals including kittens.
In 1940, Austrian zoologist and ethologist Konrad Lorenz identified certain features which were categorized as cute. These features are a large head, high forehead, big eyes, small nose and mouth, and chubby cheeks. This characteristic is known as Kindschenschema or Kinderschema. Physically, this form of cuteness is translated in the form of a baby.
By seeing the cute or funny features or characteristics as above, when you see a newborn baby and have these characteristics, the brain will indirectly ‘force’ you to care for the baby. This does not only happen to human babies. The brain will also recognize kinderschema in baby animals or even inanimate objects with such characteristics. The kittens or puppies are often associated with the cutest animals with their kitten eyes or puppy eyes.
